Chocolay firefighters are trained in many different areas of life and property preservation. All firefighters are at a minimum trained to the following: Michigan Firefighter 1, Michigan Vehicle Extrication, Michigan Advanced Vehicle Stabilization, Haz-Mat Operations level, as well as CPR and AED training. Many members have additional training with quite a few being MFRs and EMTs. Generally there are three or four training meetings a month as well as additional weekend trainings as needed both with ourselves and surrounding departments and agencies. Below are some photos of different trainings that firefighters have done through the years.
