Chocolay Fire-Rescue was established in 1967 by a group of dedicated volunteers seeking to improve their community, and that spirit continues today. Chocolay Fire-Rescue is staffed by a team of dedicated men and women giving their time and talent to make our community a safe place to live. We are committed to providing professional level service to the people we serve with minimal costs to the taxpayers.

Chocolay Township Fire-Rescue is currently seeking applicants to fill multiple openings for the position of firefighter. Firefighters are paid an hourly wage for training meetings and also emergency calls. To be part of our team you must:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a valid driver's license
• Have a reliable vehicle
• Live within Chocolay Township or limited portions of Sands Township or the City of Marquette

Applicants will be interviewed by the department's officers. Upon acceptance, applicants will be subject to a driving record and criminal background check, and must pass a physical exam which is paid for by the Township. Applications are available at the Chocolay Township Municipal Offices located at 5010 US 41 South.
